One of the main purposes of Catholic education is to produce saints. This goal is not some airy-fairy concept but a supernatural vision.

A few weeks ago I was sitting with a group of students who had expressed repeated interest in the Sacrament of Baptism and becoming a member of the Catholic Church. At one point in our conversation they began excitedly explaining their Chinese background.

At the beginning of May we were preparing for our first (in recent memory) May Crowning. The teachers explained to their students the meaning of this tradition in honouring Mary as Queen of Heaven and Queen of our Hearts. Further, as part of our afternoon assembly, we were planning a procession to her newly created grotto which stands at the entrance to the school.

Danny Mulyono is gaining a reputation as God’s graffiti artist. Quickly becoming one of Australia’s most in-demand painters of religious murals, Danny has spray-painted St Mary MacKillop, Christ the Redeemer, St Anthony of Padua and Servant of God Eileen O’Connor, and after canvasing recipients of his work, all agree the “spray-tings” are heaven-sent.
