In his Easter message for 2018, Archbishop Anthony Fisher OP invites us to look at the Easter story anew, through the eyes of a child.
He encourages us to not allow our Lenten regrets to over-complicate our Easter, but rather to experience the hope and joy of Easter with the simplicity that children often see, and adults often miss.
As part of the video message, Archbishop Fisher includes excerpts from his recent visit to St James Catholic Primary School in Glebe, where he discussed the significance of the Easter story with the Year One class.
“It means you live forever, and ever, and ever,” the Archbishop told the class. “On Easter Sunday, Jesus came back to life; isn’t that wonderful news?”
