More than 100 women united for laughter, tears, and spiritual rejuvenation at the Heart Women’s Catholic Conference 2017 presented by Bruce and Rosemary Downes of The Catholic Guy.

The conference was held at Fairfield RSL in Sydney, Australia 19-21 October.

The idea of HEART arose from a time in Rosemary’s own life when she felt God impressed on her the desire to reach out to women of all ages and encourage them in the journey of life.

She has found that it is so important to have female companions to share our lives with including all the good and the bad as well as all our similarities and our differences.

The conference starts with providing a few days of refreshment for the body, mind and soul, and of course hearts that are encouraged to “go for it” or “stay with it” or “I feel like that too!”

This year’s theme was based on the scripture from 1 John 3, “See how very much the Father loves us for he calls us his children.”

Rosemary Downes, Emma McGinniss and Kylie Duff, also from The Catholic Guy Impact Communities spoke on this theme.

Guest speaker Norma Woodcock from Perth, is from The Centre for Catholic Spiritual Development & Prayer is a convert to the Catholic faith.

Norma shared her life experiences from when she was tortured and abused as a child in India.

She has been committed to ministry for 40 years and shares of the power of healing from Jesus Christ.

She also led the women through Ignation meditation.

Heart Women’s Conference will be expanding to four locations in 2018 including Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
