Sydney Catholic Youth team leader Chris Lee said ACYF promises to provide young people with opportunities to deepen their relationship with Jesus, be empowered to be disciples in the world today and encounter and celebrate the life of the Church in Australia.
“It’s a great occasion for thousands of young Catholics to gather, encounter Jesus and celebrate their faith with other young people and some of the world’s most inspiring leaders in a really uplifting environment,” he said.
Catholic young people from across Western Australia are preparing to roll out the welcome carpet with great excitement.
“Be a part of this faith-filled and youthful experience of what being a Catholic looks like today,” Archbishop of Perth Tim Costelloe said in a message to young people. “I look forward to seeing you soon.”
