A family fun day for refugee families from Syria and Iraq was organised by Milan Maksimovic and his wife Hilda, with over 40 volunteers helping out, on Saturday 14 April in Fairfield. Hampers and gifts were given to around 200 refugees from Syria and Iraq.

“It was a real joy to share a meal with my brothers and sisters and hand out Easter hampers, to give hope to persecuted Christians,” Mr Maksimovic said.

“We have brought good-will and to cheer many refugee families during the Christmas and New Year season, delivering hampers to about 500 people from Syria and Iraq and we continue to care for them.”
