School fact file

Marist College, Eastwood, is a boys secondary college operating under the direction of the Marist Brothers and the inspiration of their founder, St Marcellin Champagnat.

Operating since 1937, the college bases its rules on promoting the individual dignity of all people, and enhancing the quality of the teaching and learning that takes place in the school. The Religious Education program is the very heart of the college as the staff strives to nurture the whole person and educate the students in the Catholic tradition.

The staff aims to help every student to develop a personal relationship with God and challenges them to live the Gospel values.

Staff and students celebrate their faith with daily prayer, Stations of the Cross during lunchtimes in Lent, and the rosary in May and October.

The close proximity of St Kevin’s Church allows the college to attend Mass at lunchtime every Friday and Reconciliation on Wednesday mornings.
