Club proud supporter of parish, children

THE Catholic Club raises money for charity at a special housie game each Saturday, beginning at noon.

Between $100 and $110 is raised each time, with every dollar going to charitable causes.

The club is a regular donor to Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish at Woolloomooloo, whose parish priest, Fr John Knight, is also chaplain of the club.

Recently it assisted the parish to purchase new furniture and to buy new chalices from the Vatican.

It also donates to children’s charities, and gives $1000 each year to a special picnic day for needy children.

It is a regular donor to the Sydney Children’s Hospital, The Royal Society for the Deaf and Blind, St James Forest Lodge School, and to the Sydney Archdiocese out of general club funds.
