Better deal for 225

The targeting of poorer schools will mean a better deal for the 225 schools in NSW that rate lowest on externally determined socio-economic factors, particularly small Catholic schools in rural areas struggling with the impact of drought, rural decline and isolation.

The areas to benefit most include the economically disadvantaged districts of south-west Sydney and small towns in the Armidale, Wilcannia-Forbes, Wagga and Lismore dioceses.
