Bridal expo preview to aid research unit

Research by St Vincent’s Hospital’s blood diseases and cancer research unit will benefit from a sneak preview of Australia’s leading bridal expo at the Sydney Boulevard Hotel from 7pm on Tuesday, March 16.

Up Close and Personal will showcase new season couturier wedding and evening gowns before they go on show at the Sydney Bridal Expo at Darling Harbour on March 27-28.

All proceeds from the night will go to St Vincent’s Hospital’s blood diseases and cancer research unit, which focuses on clinically relevant research into cancer and blood diseases (for example lymphoma and leukaemia) to identify abnormal genes and develop gene-directed therapies.

Designs from Bora Couture, Hugs for Brides, Millani Bridal Boutique and Amore Bridal Shoes will be among those featured. And there will be chances to win great prizes.

Tickets cost $25 and can be obtained by contacting Lyne Peebles on Tel: 9295-8376, Fax: 9295-8394 or email: l.peebles@garvan.org.au
