Dedicated teaching

ANNIVERSARY: Presentation Srs Bride and Mary Baldwin cut the cake marking 80 years of teaching in Dorrigo

Former students from across NSW and Queensland were among the congregation of more than 200 who packed Sacred Heart Church, Dorrigo, for a Thanksgiving Mass to honour 80 years of dedicated teaching by the Presentation Sisters to generations of Catholic children in the Dorrigo Plateau community on the mid-North Coast.

The former students included Fr Jim Reilly, who celebrated the Mass (Fr Jim is parish priest of the Dorrigo church and also the Church of St Mary Immaculate, Mother of God, in Bellingen, and Holy Name Church in Urunga).

The nuns led the readings, the offertory procession and the prayers of the faithful.
