De La Salle, Cronulla, just keeps on giving

By Damir Govorcin
De La Salle College, Cronulla, is celebrating a milestone, having made
more than 1500 blood donations since 1990.
To celebrate the Feast of St John the Baptist last month, 30 Year 12
students gave blood at the Red Cross centre in Clarence St.
De La Salle is among few schools in Australian Red Cross Blood Service
history to reach such a milestone as part of the Red Cross youth donor
program.
First time donor Stefan Marcaros says: "I've always wanted to help people
and this seems to be one of the best ways to do it.
"I think it's great that the college gives us the chance to learn about
community service.
