The Catholic Weekly

2003 was a momentous year for The Catholic Weekly, as well.

We moved our office from Lewisham to the Polding Centre in June.

This was followed by a redesign and a relaunch at NSW Parliament House in September and a new managing editor, Kerry Myers, in October.

In August The Weekly won several Australasian Catholic Press Association awards, including best news story (the campaign to prevent the opening of a brothel in Lewisham), best newspaper layout and design and best headline.

The headline Oh, brittle town of Bethlehem was commended in the Australasian Religious Press Association awards.
