Lord of the Rings

To celebrate the release of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, the final film of The Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Catholic Weekly – in conjunction with Harper Collins Publishers Australia – is giving readers a chance to win a prize pack.

The pack contains two books, a revised edition of The Lord of the Rings location guidebook by Ian Brodie and The Lord of the Rings Gollum: How we made movie magic by Andy Serkis.

The revised edition of the definitive guidebook showcases the principal movie locations around New Zealand. It also includes a foreword by director Peter Jackson, maps and location directions, food and entertainment suggestions and movie images.

Andy Serkis tells his own story about how a three-week commission to provide a voiceover for Gollum grew into a five-year commitment to breathe life and soul into The Lord of the Rings’ most challenging creation.

The Lord of the Rings Gollum: How we made movie magic features more than 100 exclusive behind-the-scenes photos and drawings, plus contributions from the many designers and animators who brought Gollum to life as it tracks the transition to the big screen of this most unforgettable creature.

To be in the running to win one of these prize packs, simply answer the following question: Which actor played the character of Frodo in The Lord of the Rings trilogy?

Put your answer on the back of an envelope and send it to: The Catholic Weekly, The Lord of the Rings competition, Polding Centre, Level 8, 133 Liverpool St, Sydney, NSW 2000. The competition closes Monday, February 2.

The first two correct entries drawn will win the prizes.
