Wilde times at Genesian

A scene from Oscar Wilde’s A Woman of No Importance

“One should never trust a woman who tells one her real age. A woman who would tell one that, would tell one anything,” is one of the many memorable pithy statements in Oscar Wilde’s play, A Woman of No Importance.

But it’s what a woman doesn’t tell that is at the heart of the play, her long concealed secret and her struggle to survive in a society that regards image as more important than integrity.
Readers have a chance to be our guests in the country mansion where Wilde’s deliciously witty satire is played out – the Genesian Theatre, in Kent St, Sydney, where A Woman of No Importance is playing until February 21.

Performances are 8pm Fridays and Saturdays, and 4pm on Sundays.

Tickets can be booked through MCA Ticketing at www.mca-tix.com or on 9645 1611.
The Catholic Weekly has double passes, worth $44 each, for two lucky readers.

For a chance to win, put your name, address and contact telephone number on the back of an envelope and send it to Genesian competition at The Catholic Weekly, Level 8, 133 Liverpool St Sydney NSW 2000 by Friday, January 30.

Winners will be notified.
