Irish festival aids kids

Proceeds from a traditional Irish music festival – the Fleadh Nua festival – at Jindabyne during the Australia Day weekend (January 23-26) will aid Fr Chris Riley's Youth Off The Streets and the Jindabyne Bush Fire Brigade.

More than 100 musicians, dancers and singers of traditional Irish music from Australia, New Zealand and Ireland will perform concerts and lead workshops.

Sydney Bishop David Cremin will offer Mass at 10.30am on Sunday, January 25, for all those people who worked on the Snowy Mountains Scheme.

Cost is $50 per person ($40 for seniors) for the weekend or $15 ($25 family) for Saturday and Sunday afternoon or evening.

Book through Ticketek 9266 4800 or www.ticketek.com. For more information call Kevin Doyle on 9181 3365 or 0401 827 460.
