A melting pot of faith

Unity in diversity is possible. That’s what the 30 young Christians, Jews and Muslims pictured learnt when they spent a week together experiencing elements of each other’s culture and faith traditions.

The week-long interfaith immersion experience based at North Sydney was part of the Journey of Promise, which was co-ordinated by the National Council of Churches and Jewish and Muslim community organisations.

The young people visited each other’s places of worship, formed friendships and found much common ground from which to launch ongoing interfaith dialogue in their communities.
