3-goal netball win over Marist Sisters Woolwich
Santa Sabina’s intermediate netball girls have won their division of the Catholic Girls Secondary School Sports Association representative netball championships by defeating Marist Sisters Woolwich by three goals.
Santa Sabina had entered teams in the junior, inter'mediate and senior divisions of the championships, which were played at the Anne Clark Centre, Auburn.
The intermediate and senior teams both made the quarter finals, with the intermediates winning easily against Randwick.
The intermediates, undefeated after eight games, played a semi final against their arch rivals Our Lady of Mercy College, Parramatta, winning by three goals in a nail'biting match.
The final then matched them against Marist Sisters Woolwich, whom they had beaten earlier in the day.
