Bishop: sin not part of God’s plan for us

CALLED
TO HOLINESS: Bishop Anthony Fisher and members of the Catholic Asian Students’
Society at their annual retreat.
By John Ting
Sin “was not part of God’s plan for us in the beginning”, said Bishop
Anthony Fisher, “and neither will it have a place in our eventual resting
place in Heaven.
“Why then should it come in anywhere in between, in our daily lives today?”
Bishop Fisher was speaking during one of four talks on the theme Jesus,
be my companion that he gave at the Catholic Asian Students’ Society’s
annual three-day retreat.
[The retreat was held at Francisville, 105km northwest of Sydney.]
Participants in the retreat came from the University of Sydney, University
of NSW, the University of Technology and Macquarie University.
