| Founding principal returns for McAuley presentations
Mercy Sr Eugene Dobson, founding principal of Catherine McAuley Girls High School, Westmead, returned to the school for the Year 12 graduation award presentation 2003. She is pictured with Mrs Hilary Johnston-Croke, who has been principal of the school since 1996, and (from left) Evangeline Aguas, winner of the Eugene Dobson leadership award; Shemin Tejani, dux of the school; and Kayte Hodgson, winner of the Catherine McAuley award. Catherine McAuley school was established by the Parramatta congregation of the Sisters of Mercy in 1966 as a regional Catholic high school for girls in Years 7 to 10. In 1983, permission was granted for the school to extend to Years 11 and 12. The first HSC class graduated in 1987.
