Catholic University produces second Bible aid in Chinese

The Australian Catholic University has issued a second book on theology translated into Chinese - Studying the Gospels: An Introduction - to make the Bible more accessible to Chinese Catholics around the world.

Co-author Dr Gideon Goosen, associate professor of theology at the university’s Strathfield campus, says Chinese communities in Australia, the US, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Canada will benefit from the book, which was translated by Domenica Li, a former student of the university.

Launching the new translation, Fr Paschal Chang, of the Asian Chinese Centre, Ashfield, stressed the importance of good translations of the Bible.
