Multi-faith ecology forum

Representatives of several faiths will take part in a forum on Ecology - Wonder and the Will to Care - at the Austr-alian Catholic University’s Strathfield campus on Saturday, June 21.

They will include a Muslim scientist, a Uniting Church language professor, a Buddhist peace worker and an Aboriginal meteorologist.

The aims of the daylong forum include highlighting connections between ecology and religion as a contribution to the environmental movement, helping people’s ability “to wonder” at earth’s complexities and their “will to care” about its use, and building co-operation on environmental matters between spiritual groups and individuals.

Presenters and panellists will include Sr Trish Madigan, of the Archdiocesan Ecumenical and Interfaith Relations Commission, and Fr Brian Gore, of the Peace, Ecology and Justice Centre.

Tickets are $20 adults, $10 pensioners and $5 children.

For more information ring 9488 8844.
