Peace ... harmony

Kieran Briscoe, Alice Johnson and Victoria Johnson (seated)

“Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me.” This was the theme for the Harmony Day celebrations at St Mark’s Primary School in Drummoyne.

The day began with a prayer service during which cultural diversity and peacemaking in the community were celebrated. Later the school ommunity walked around the bay to Rodd Point for a barbecue lunch. The children wore orange - the colour of Harmony Day - and made signs to carry bearing the message “Peace be with you” in several languages.
