Pilgrims walk to shrine

The inaugural pilgrimage walk from St Mary’s Cathedral to the Shrine of Our Lady of Mt Carmel, Waterloo, will take place on Sunday, July 14.

The pilgrims will be blessed by the Dean of the Cathedral, Mons Tony Doherty, before departing from the main steps at midday.

The church of Our Lady of Mt Carmel, in Kellick St, Waterloo, was declared a Sydney Archdiocesan Shrine by Archbishop Dr George Pell earlier this year.
