More ‘to unite than divide’

Christians and Muslims have much more that unites them than divides them, says Fr Patrick McInerney.

He told a Christian-Muslim Dialogue conference at Santa Sabina Hall, Strathfield, that the differences between them offered an opportunity to enrich followers of both through learning and understanding rather than to create conflict.

The two should not be afraid of examining their differences. He said he believed that when the two “share our very real differences we take the high road of being sisters and brothers to each other and of challenging each other to become all that God wants us to be”.
