‘Most travelled priest’ – golden jubilee

Fr Theo Arrivoli, 80, has earned the nickname of ‘the most travelled priest in Sydney’ because of the number of parishes he has served in Sydney over the past 50 years.

Fr Theo will mark his golden jubilee with a Mass at his parish, Our Lady of the Nativity, Lawson, which he will concelebrate with the Bishop of Parramatta, Bishop Kevin Manning, at 9.30am on Sunday, July 14.

It will be followed by morning tea.

Anyone from the other parishes he has lived in – Bondi Beach, North Ryde, Forest Lodge/Glebe, Pennant Hills, Mt Pritchard, Denistone, Flemington, Auburn, Liverpool, Pyrmont, Richmond and South Baulkham Hills is welcome.

A Lawson parishioner, Allan Walsh, is compiling a book of messages of congratulation to be presented to Fr Theo on the day and invites anyone who would like to include one to send it to him this week.

The address is 91 Winbourne Rd, Hazelbrook 2779.
