Instant tax deductions when you give to charity

Employees can now make donations to charities through payroll deductions and receive an immediate tax benefit, rather than wait until the end of the tax year.

The Taxation Office has ruled that the tax deduction allowed for gifts to registered charities can be included in the weekly pay packet at the time the donation is made.

Donors will not have to keep their own records of charitable donations.

If you want to claim deductions this way contact your pay office.
