Fr Pat goes back to St Pat’s for jubilee Mass

Fr Patrick McMaugh will celebrate 50 years of priesthood with Mass at 7.30pm on Friday, July 19, at St Patrick’s parish, Asquith, where he was parish priest for 26 years until his retirement in 1998.

He has also ministered in the parishes of Kensington, Rozelle, Concord West, Gladesville, Lewisham, Ashbury and Waitara.

Others may know Fr Pat (pictured) as a former chaplain to Sydney’s Catholic Bushwalking Club, through which he indulged his love of the bush and made many close friends.

Parishioners and friends will have a number of opportunities to celebrate his golden jubilee with him.

Apart from the jubilee Mass, he will also celebrate Mass at St Patrick’s at 9.30am on Sunday, July 21.

And he will concelebrate Mass with former seminary classmates Fr Dennis Callahan and Fr Bob McNeil at St Bernard’s, Berowra, at 9.30am on Sunday, July 28.
