‘Boundless plains’ to share with refugees? - Spirituality in Pub

A law student and a Jesuit lawyer will speak at the next session of Spirituality in the Pub, at the Union Hotel in North Sydney on Monday night, July 15.

The discussion topic will be Population and Migration: We’ve boundless plains to share. It is the latest in the Australia: An Open-hearted Country? series.

Speakers will be Fr Frank Brennan (pictured), lawyer and social justice advocate, and Jackie Keegan, law student, researcher and lobbyist for human rights and social justice.

Ms Keegan will discuss migration and population in respect of refugee issues.

The session begins at 7.30pm and finishes at 9pm. Dinner is available from 6pm.

Spirituality in the Pub discussions are held every month.

Forthcoming topics include Without Justice, No Reconciliation with Phil Glendenning (August 19); Reformative Justice: Revenge and Retribution or Reform and Rehabilitation? with Terry O’Connell and Pat O’Shane (September 16); Arts and Entertainment: Shaping the Country’s Heart with Justin Fleming and Morag Fraser (October 21), and The Aged: What Value do We Place on Our Elders? with Michael O’Dea (November 18).
