Fr John says ‘thank you’ and ‘goodbye’

Fr John Iacono will celebrate a thanksgiving Mass next Sunday, December 8, for all who have helped him during his time in Sydney, and those who have supported his child care project in Cebu.

He is leaving to resume his missionary work in Cebu, in the Philippines, in prison ministry and to help build the Bethlehem Day Care Centre for the children on the infamous Smokey Mountain.

The Mass, in Italian and English, will be celebrated at St Pius V Church, 256 Edgeware Rd, Enmore, from 10.15am.

“All are welcome,” says Fr John.

“Thank you for your kindness and generosity towards (my) project in Cebu.”
