For mercy’s sake

 


As two million Poles tearfully farewelled their favourite son, Pope John Paul had this message for them: Practise mercy in daily life. This is a reflection of God’s mercy. The Pope had been visiting his homeland and the new Divine Mercy shrine there. He is pictured with President Aleksander Kwasniewski and his wife Jolanta.
