Bishop Brennan in hospital

William Brennan (pictured), Bishop of Wagga Wagga and Chair of the Australian Catholic Social Justice Council, is in the Prince of Wales Hospital’s intensive care unit, recovering from surgery for an aneurism to the brain.

Bishop Brennan was struck down by the aneurism while saying Mass during the recent plenary meeting of the Australian Catholic Bishops' Conference.

He is being attended to by close family members, including his brother and two sisters.

The Catholic Weekly's prayers and best wishes for a speedy recovery are with Bishop Brennan and his family during this difficult time.
